Planning a dressing room!

Normally this time of the year in my blog I would be all over Samhain. BUT we moved a couple of days ago and it's still somewhat in progress. At the moment I am busy planning my dressing room! In this house we have 3 bedrooms and of course I claimed the biggest one to serve as a room for my clothing, shoes, accessories etc. The size is about 287x460cm

The 2 of the rooms used to be bedrooms for kids and they had some drawings on the wall. We painted over those with white paint so it is nice and clear surface to start planning on. I also went ahead and bought some mirrors from Jysk. The other one is the biggest mirror I could find 78x180cm. It's white but we are going to paint the borders black, same story with the ground standing dressing mirror.

Ikea has these Pax closet frames that you can accessories how ever you want, so I am planning on getting 2 pairs of those. And 8 bars to add to them as well as 2 to 4 selves. Between these closets I am planning to install an additional pair of bars for clothes! You could buy doors for these cabinets but I really want it all out where I can see everything, so no doors!

I'm also planning to get 2 billy bookcases in the opposite side of the room. These will serve as room for my shoes and bags. Of course there is also room for them on top of the cabinets and if it's still not enough I'll add some wall selves

I would also love love looove if I could find a good makeup table. I have always dreamed of owning one! This one I pictured here is just one option but I would love to find a gorgeous second hand one as well!

The dresser on the left is also a maybe. It would be just as awesome to find a second hand one.

The stool thing in the middle of the room would be awesome for putting on shoes as well as serve as a... stool to have easier access to the top of the cabinets. Still need to think is this the right one for me.

But that's all just the big furniture. I'm also planning hooks on walls for belts and jewelry, different assortment of lights, a carpet etc. I need to get all the big furniture in place first however so it makes it easier to visualize the smaller things. I'll make more posts about the progress of my dressing room as the project advances.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? All is welcome!

I don't wanna go back

Oh wow, so here I am again.
I don't know where to start, but then again I don't know what to write about.

Why was I away? I dunno. I felt lazy. I felt depressed (still do). I felt like I look like crap and my self-esteem was down in the gutters. The apartment we live in currently is super cramped. If I want to dress up to go out, I pretty much have to tear down all of my wardrobes to find that one top, and some of the time it didn't feel like it was worth it. Felt like doing posts without any interesting pictures is just not good enough. I felt like my life sucks and there's nothing to tell. Except to complain about work. But then again, these are all just excuses.

My summer vacation is almost over. Next week I need to head back to the work and it sucks so much as well as makes me anguished. I have been planning on quitting my job soonish. We need to move first and handle all the expenses that brings us before I can do that though, as well as some other small payments still hanging. My work is so very mind numbing and pointless that I just can't bear it anymore. I might look for other work slowly after that, but first I want to try my luck with some self employment since it's what I have always wanted to do. I don't want to get in to what I will be doing then just yet since I don't have all the details yet figured out.

Body - New Yorker
Skirt - Shop Melanoir
Boots - Demonia Morpheus
Belt - Second hand
Collar - Killstar

Recently I have invested in some photograph lightning for a other project, as well as possibly starting to stream on twitch. But I figured I could also use them as lights to photograph outfits and stuff inside the house, no matter the time of day or weather. But I do need to learn and test them a bit more since I am not used to using lights, but I will figure it out.

I am really looking forward on our move, even though nothing is certain just yet. But in the new house I would have room to have my own dressing room and office as well as a big yard and hardly any neighbors! Also a lot of space to fix up for my Volkswagen bus!

At the moment my bus restoration is coming along pretty good, I'm pretty sure we will get most the technical stuff done by the end of the year. I'll post some progress pictures at some point, especially when I get to start designing the camping interior! So hopefully next summer I would be able to support myself and use all of the summer to camp around Finland, where ever we want! That's the dream anyway.

Lately I have been also getting back to digital drawing. I have been working on a gift I owe to a friend of mine, which is terribly late, like always. I'm sorry!

This summer I have also been addicted to flea markets, since I have had time to go a bit further than just to the local ONE. It's always as exciting to find unique or vintage stuff that you have never seen before. It really makes me wish I'd still live in Pori, there were so many good flea markets a few years back.

But yeah, I'll try to keep you updated as much as possible as my life (hopefully) changes drastically. Maybe some process photos and plans when I start setting up and building my dressing room and office space! I really hope everything goes as planned for once! So see you soon!

Lumous Gothic Festival 2019

It's once again time for my yearly Lumous post. This time I won't make any promises on returning to blogging because it seems that every time I do, I will end up not getting anywhere with it. So maybe not promising anything is the key, who knows!

A lot has been going on and I have new plans for my future and such... But on this post I will only focus on writing about Lumous, let's talk about all that stuff later on.

Also I am sorry if this post is weird somehow. This is my first time editing blog pictures with my desktop computer and with the new photoshop. Though I didn't edit them much anyway.

So let's go! This year I also went with my own hair, it grows so friggin fast. Before Lumous I had to go to the hairdresser to cut like 15cm it off and give it a slight layering so I could get my hair up properly. So I styled it on friday and went the rest of the days with that hair lol.

Pvc top - Pretty Little thing
Belts - Second hand
Collar - Killstar
Fishnet top - diy
Skirt - glp, fantasmagoria
Shoes - Demonia Trashville 518
Bracelets - some sexshop

This year Lumous was held in Pakkahuone instead of the Klubi. Klubi was being renovated. Pakkahuone is pretty large in comparison and it was weird that the place was not full like usually. I kinda like the klubi more since you can get closer to the performers and it's small and cozy. Even though I usually am scared of tightly packed crowds.

I did not photograph every band we saw, but here's some anyway!

The Golden Apes, I feel like they were in the Lumous last year as well. But always a pleasure to see them play.

Das Ich, I believe I saw them in Lumous back in 2015. Here's a link to that post! Lumous 2015
Didn't get to hug them this time :(

Here's an outfit I wore to the "Goth daycare" at Dog's home on Saturday.

Blood Magick from Sweden at the Dog's home. I really found his performance intriguing. While preforming he gave me "the empress" tarot card. I still carry it around in my phone wallet. Still thinking about what it means.

Murnau's playhouse, they really surprised me, I much enjoyed their performance.

I was however super duper sad that Virgin In Veil cancelled. They were number one on my band list.

Dress - libidex
That night I squeezed myself into this Latex dress from libidex that my boyfriend got for me! I love it! At some point I fell in love with mermaid dresses and skirts, and I just can't have enough.

The dance society! They were.. a bit odd. I had listened to their songs before but they sounded so different on stage.

Collar - Killstar
belts - Second hand

Shoes - Demonia Swing 815
Fishnet top - Ebay
My outfit to the The End Club on Sunday. Had so much fun and met so many lovely people!

I want to say thank you to everyone who came and said hi to me! I am always so overwhelmed and confused when that happens. And I don't always know how to react to it, and I might react badly if I'm drunk enough... SORRY.  Especially the girl who came to say hi when I was at Helsinki seeing She Past away and again now in Lumous. If you are reading thisss pleasse identify yourself, can we be friendsss?? ;u;

Only thing I bought from Dark Market was this duck skull from MagaLacrima. I laid my eyes on it first thing when I arrived to their table. I didn't snatch it right away but when I went around the tables I only had one thing on my mind: I need the duck skull! So I went back for it, and luckily didn't break it getting it home.

They had a merch table on the Pakkahuone on Satuday so I snatched some of the Danse society LP's as well as their shirt. Also got a Raven Said tote bag. Earlier that day I had picked up the Siouxsie and the Vrigin Prunes LP's from a local record store.

I feel like I need to invest in some speakers for my record player. Since the vinyls seem to be starting to pile up.

On saturday we also went to see the Dracula exhibit at Vapriikki and after that we went to the gift shop, where I bought a bat magnet as well as this amazing piece of amethyst. Yeah yeah I bought a big expensive rock.

I guess that's it for today, see you again very soon!
